Vipassana meditation

Vipassana meditation is a technique that is said to go all the way back to the Buddha through a direct lineage. S.N. Goenka is its latest master and brought the technique to a worldwide audience with meditation centres around the world that offer free 10-day Vipassana courses.

The meditation technique is comprised of 2 stages

1. First you focus on the nostrils, observing the natural breath coming in- and going out without changing it, just observing. This part is also called Anapana meditation

2. After Anapana you will be more in tune with the body. Now just watch the sensations in the body appear and dissapear. You will experientially realize that reality is ever-changing, impermanent.
